Downloaded the You Tube app from Google. The Terms page comes up and I can't scroll down or accept the terms. Anyone get it to work on their Tour?

Same problem here. Although does that even allow you to upload videos to YouTube from the app? That's the main thing I want it for...

If I had to guess, the problem is that the YouTube app is written for the Storm - that is, a touch screen phone - so it does not accept trackball input. Thus, you cannot interact with it. The only reason you are able to install it on the Tour, I'm guessing, is that the Tour has the same internals as the Storm, so Google thinks you have a Storm.

This seems to be true for Google Maps as well - it clearly is designed for a touch screen phone. However, thankfully, keyboard commands still work, so the app has full functionality on the Tour.

But that's just weird. Are you trying to say that no one that has a Curve, Bold, etc ever tried to download google maps/youtube? In any case, I hope they release new versions soon.

I do not believe the YouTube app is available for any phone other than the Storm. It certainly wasn't even listed for my 8830. Google maps of course is... which is probably why Google Maps works with both touchscreen and normal input. YouTube, for now, is apparently Touch Screen only.

It's probably because the Tour is running 4.7OS, and it's expecting you to have a touch screen. If the OS was 4.6 or 4.5, it most likely works just fine.

Usually a site will say "not available for your device yet." It let me download the app no problem.

The Google made youtube app isnt that updated. Google put it out there and haven't really been quick to support additional devices. Maybe they have been too busy with Android apps..

Blackmannx, do you know of any non-Google YouTube apps that work well? Preferable ones that integrate with the OS and let you upload right from the menu?
