So I just pulled my battery to reset my phone. When it started back up, I noticed that a yellowpages.com icon is now visible in my program list. I have not installed anything on my phone in weeks, and this icon was never there before. I'm not sure if anything is actually installed as there is no yellowpages.com app in my application list.
If I click it, my browser opens up and I get some kind of disclaimer that I am being transferred to a website which RIM does not control yada yada.
Yellowpages.com and AT&T have merge together, but I'm not sure if AT&T wireless would have anything thing to do with this but thats the only logical thing I can think about. Regarding the error message I have no idea.
I'm running 4.5.0.81, but wouldn't think it had anything to do with the OS version. It is definitely a service book, so I've just hide the icon.
I'm not sure why the OS matters either but seeing as I am the only one in
this thread running OS 4.2 and not have that service book pushed, I think
that may be the case.
I deleted it, but I still have the program....any ideas?
It's probably "hard coded" just like the media mall apps are. I just hide those, because no matter what you do to delete or erase them, they always come back.

You're right- it has nothing to do with the OS. I upgraded to .81 a while back and didn't have that icon. It wasn't until I resent my service books a couple of days ago that it came through.
They should really stop pushing crap onto my phone that I didn't ask for. Kind of makes me mad.
