This has nothing to do with RIM, as you well know. Go complain to the developer...

I have the Dictionary.com app on my 9900 and it works perfectly.

I don't understand why people want apps for everything. What's wrong with the dictionary.com website? It's one less app to possibly mess up a device.

If the OP bothered to search (which he NEVER does!), he'd find the Dictionary.com app was updated today, and it IS available for OS7 devices...

Plus to take up space that is maybe needed for some other app there is no browser use for or space that slows your phone down.

That's pretty much all the app is anyway... a bookmark to their website

That absolutely is all the "app" is. I made a browser bookmark awhile back and I just downloaded the app from AppWorld to try it out. Choosing either one gives me exactly the same thing - the mobile website.

How ironic that it just became officially available for OS 7 today. Lucky 4 u PhilUK.

I'm wondering when people are going to learn that RIM is not responsible for apps being developed for any OS! Furthermore, is dictionary.com app so freakin' critical? Go to the damn website!

No it did not, I have been using it for some time. The app possibly is the same one I had on my 9700 but it has been working perfectly ever since I got my 9900 last year.

Yes it is. Like Phill_UK said, that's all it is, a bookmark app.
