The Facebook app on my BB tour is really slow in terms of sending PM and sometimes the typing lags. There is no tagging and other configs that the iphone version has.. I was wondering if anyone knows if there going to update facebook again or when they are going to update it?

Highly doubt 1.8 will be any better unless they revamp the entire app and rebuild it. Stick to facebook mobile site

Nice! Glad to hear about this...one thing I would REALLY like to see in the Facebook app update is the ability to "lock down" certain status updates from your phone (for example, block my grandma from a certain status update). It is infinitely annoying to me that I can only do this when I am at my computer. It would be so simple to add that in--why not give us the ability to do that via mobile device? These developers don't think things through...hopefully 1.8 is a worthy upgrade, and not a waste.

Also, does anyone know why no one other than RIM has developed a Facebook app for BlackBerry? I mean, there are many for Twitter (my favorite being Ubertwitter)...does RIM have some sort of legal deal?
