To answer the OP's question of why Mini doesn't cut it for me ... Because Opera Mobile is the platform that should be used on full-screen smartphones. Mini is just too cramped and trying to accommodate too much in too small a space. Efficiency, rather than a cluster**** of disorganized, illogical overkill, is the principle a mobile browser should be based upon.
I don't use it anymore because the issue where you would type in text then submit it and it magically disappears just p***ed me off too much. I used to back OM5 all the time but I'm using the default browser a lot more.
