    Hey team,

I decided to save my $30 bucks a month and use the WIFI for my applications. I mainly use the Google apps, sync, maps and others..

I have WIFI at the office and at home. I thought that my applications would work off WIFI without a data plan?

Anyone have a trick I may be missing??

Some apps do not work on WiFi. See this thread http://forums.crackberry.com/f65/bla...se-wifi-29376/ for more information.

To get the most from the BB experience you will need that data plan. The $30 is a small price to pay IMHO.

Having a BlackBerry with no data plan is like turning up to a tennis match carrying a fish.

A lot of apps will work on the WiFi, without a data plan if you have the service books on your phone.

Yeah but you'll need the Service books still.

BB isn't as good when it comes to apps and wifi like the iPhone and such. On the BB, if you don't have a data plan, many apps just won't work, period.

    It's a pain, I know.

I guess you can try the Aerize WifiX which will force the apps to connect through Wifi connection.
