Purely a guess here...but I'm thinking RIM first started playing with the transitions with this build, so they are only applied to certain applications or functions. Later builds will probably have more consistent transitions across the OS.

Clear your "event log" and all your transitions will be back.

    Sorry, this is not correct.

I think its a random occurence. Sometimes my browser closes both ways. It might have to do with the memory or lag you have going at the time you close those apps.

It seems like they were still in the process of implementing the transitions in .151 and they're not quite finalized.

I wonder what the later 4.7 builds are like.. Are these new transitions here to stay? Will they get refined/smoother a bit? Will they make it into 5.0?

I imagine the transitions will become more fluid as we get higher in 4.7 builds. I wonder if the transitions are in any 5.0 build yet.

The Storm definitely supports fluid animations, I learned this after a bit of discussion on the "5.2 OS" thread. Even the fade transition is pretty fluid. I don't see why RIM can't improve the transitions introduced in .151
