Works on my bold 9000 too. And in ways it works better as is a app locks you can't necessarily jump to quickpull to use it. Whereas alt right shift and del will reboot from anywhere.

With a 9700 you will not need this or a battery pull

I've had to use the Alt + Shift + Del method a few times already on my 9700. Quite a few apps seem to freeze the OS v5.0.0.344 that I have tried downloading from the App World.

this also worked on the 8900 too. but I will say that this did not always work in place of an actual battery pull. Sometimes no matter what happened or what I tried nothing would fix the issue except actually removing the battery.

I've been wondering about this combo for a long time. Whenever I need it, I forget it and just end up pulling the battery. This is great as it will save wear and tear on your battery door.

I thought Alt Shift Del worked on all berries? It certainly did on my 8900 and 8520.

The only advantage with quickpull is that you can set a time for it to reset.

Can't beat a good old power disconnected battery pull for those hard to fix problems

This also works on my Curve 8300 as well. Not a new function

QFT^^^^^^ this is 100% correct. Some issues can be resolved with a soft boot, but sometimes you need to do a battery pull....
