It's certainly safe to try, if it doesn't work, it doesn't work. But, I'd check out Poynt instead---it's known to work, and it's sweet to boot.

i have where on my tour i had poynt as well where was much quicker for me and easier to use for me so im using that with no problems very nice app to have thats my 2 cents poynt wasnt bad though
If you are talking about the Crackberry/Mobihand app store, you may not find too many apps for the Tour. Mobihand decided that all existing apps will be considered not compatible with the Tour unless the author explicitly adds the Tour to his app's compatible devide list. The conservative approach is admirable: they don't want to risk having Tour owners buying incompatible apps, so they forgo the additional sales revenue. But this means that if you browse the store with the Tour as your selected device, you won't see many apps that would work with no problem on your Tour.
There is a Tour version of Where.
