Hi all, am currently having an issue where my whatsapp message previews are not appearing in my message notifications bar, save for the word "Whatsapp" and nothing more. There are no individual breakdowns of who sends me a message. I'm running on a hybrid OS BL 7.1 X-mas Edition and no matter how much I toggle the advanced settings in whatsapp and rebooting, nothing seems to work. Attached is a screenshot of my issue.

Anyone can shed some light on this? Is it a software issue? Because my friend has a 9900 running really old OS7 and does not experience such issues.

go into options on WhatsApp and select "integrate into messages application" then reboot. voila

What I'm looking for is not to integrate into messages, but to display whatsapp messages separately under the Whatsapp header. Has it been disabled in new releases of OS7.1?

It used to work. I believe it got broken with a whatsapp software upgrade some time ago.

when you integrate into messages app, previews will show in the notification bar im on latest OS and latest version of whatsapp and it works for me

sorry, i think i wrote it incorrectly. go into options, and it is (i think) "show chats in messages folder". tick that box, reboot the phone and then previews will show in the notification bar

it's under settings>advanced settings>show chats in messages folder. if it's still not working id maybe check that youre on the latest bb7 OS for your carrier.

But i don�t wanna have my chats in the message folder. I just want to be able to the a preview of messages in notification bar!

i dont like em there either, but it's the only way ive found that makes message previews show up in the notification bar.

well i tried wiping my handset with BBSAK and then putting a fresh new whatsapp, it would have the same problem. then i tried updating it with another bundle pack version thinking it might help, bt no matter what ever i do, the notification would not come under whatsapp..
