I've been using the trial version of Beejive and have been pretty pleased with it. Before I purchase it, is there another IM app. that anyone suggests or feels is better?

I'd say BeeJive is the best. It covers many different I'm apps

I personally use bbm the most because that's where most of my IM contacts are.

I love BeeJive as well, but there are definitely options out there...

    Some of which are:
    EQO
    WebMessenger
    RambleIM

All of which are free and...

    Some that also cost:
    IM+
    Mundu

I am using the free AIM and Googletalk apps from RIM.
Both seem to work well for me

Instango is pretty good, and its free... I like it better than beejive even if beejive was free.

I use Google Talk-- It works perfectly--it's free, and also integrates with my GMail account.

Does ramble run off text messages like aim and other IM services on your blackberry? A friend of mine said it didn't so I was kinda shocked.

My personal favorite from all the different ones I've personally tried. Well worth the price if you IM regularly It also works over a WiFi-Only connection since it runs off of data... a huge money saver for those without data plans
