Can somebody just briefly tell me what quickpull is and if it's 100% safe to put on your bb?
Wow, you might get flamed for this one.
Quickpull is 100% safe and all that it does is reboot you phone by simulating a battery pull. This is required to free up memory and keep your phone running well.
It simulates a battery pull. From my experience and many others here in CB nation it's completely safe.
Quickpull is a 3rd party apps that simulate a battery pull" or a hard reset/reboot of your blackberry. There are two version; free and premium.
And it is completely safe to install on your bb.
For more information have a look at their website or at the 3rd party forums.
thanks guys, just dld the free one off cb. how often should i run it? (sorry if i sound like a noob i just got my storm a couple days ago lol)
The best way to run it is to have set to do a batt pull early in the morning, around 4:30 AM. This way it does not interfere with any of your apps that are running as well.
Just pull the battery out you lazy @sses
your point being....
Just walk across town to talk to your friends (assuming you have any), phones are for lazy people.

Yea take the innocase II off once and see if you want to do it with any regularity. Quickpull makes my life easier.
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com
when i try to use quickpull it says "uncaught exception; object already exists"....can anybody help me with this problem?
Did you a physical batt pull when you loaded it? If not, might be a good time to do it now.
I've got an Otterbox which IMO is the best case out there but taking the case apart to pull the battery is definitely a PITA.
The mere fact that it's sold here at CB (free and paid versions) suggests it's safe. I doubt CB would knowlingly make available dangerous software. Sure, certain apps might crash your BB, but the apps here are "safe" to use your terms.
Well, I'm sorry to hear about your troubles, but I have to tell you that I feel better knowing that you, or someone else, has encountered them. After about 5 emails to Steelthorn and some whining on this forum, I did get an answer.
Guess what Steelthorn said? They said, oh sorry, that's a known bug for people who are using enterprise . So--LOL--this is funny--they send you a link to an old post on this forum.
basically what you have to do is set your email permissions to allow. they tell you it degrades your security, use at your own risk, then Quickpull doesn't actually display properly, but it does eventually work and it doesn't hurt your phone.
I think the pull your own battery guy might have a good point (no pun intended)
Its really cool to have on the phone especially before .151 came out since then i dont have a use for it:D
lol Well Said
Itsa soft reset not a hard. For certain issues u need 2 manually pull battery. Like 2 make quickpull work lol. BTW options > adv options > apps > hilite quickpull > menu > disable compatibility mode.
wow, lol, true man
