For me, weather is important. I'm outside a lot after work with my horses and I can't always leave and run inside and check the weather to see if I'm about to get zapped by lightning. I use BerryWeather.
I listen to music at work and found Pandora and Slacker to be boring. I don't like the songs they play even on the channels I like. I downloaded Sirius/XM's BB app and love it. I listen to that all day at work, at the gym and sometimes at home when I'm outside.
Bing is the only search provider on my phone and I hate Bing, so I downloaded a Google app, even though I prefer Dogpile.
Quicklaunch
BerryReader
BerryPopup
PageOnce Pro
YouMail
Bloomberg Mobile
ScoreMobile
DropBox
ExtraKeys
Dictionary.com
Poynt
BlackBerry Travel (I use this for weather, too)

not using all of them right now, as i'm currently waiting for the 9900 to finally get released over here, but once i'll have it i'll download all of them
even tho it looks like a lot, the 188+ MB we've got for apps should be plenty for this amount
currently i have about 54 apps on my 9700 and its fine... of course lately im just downloading stuff and try it out, but too lazy to uninstall it again
but since the 9900 has more free MB for apps than the 9700, i should be fine ! : )
This is my bold 9000 home screen the app's depends what you most need.
I have here 1.whatsapp 2.msn 3.contacts 4.tunein pro 5.media 6.tapatalk 7.opera 8. Browser 9. On top weather eye.
in my downloads folder. Ucbrowser, pdanet, speed nux, auto reboot, mobile data alerter, force radio on, duoberry, blackvoip, network acc, imtalk+, 4shared, pyramid bloxx, duoberry nux, screenshot, unrar, xenozu, getjar apps, escodegen, google maps
So you see I have around 28 apps installed and 24mb free app mem.
