Use captureit and post a pic of what it looks like but I think it may be a message from rim! Check out your messages! Go to the top of messages folder and ??then ? menu key and select mark prior read! See if it goes away!

Do you have BB APP World? Chances are, it is letting you know that you have an app with an upgrade.
If you search this issue, you will find answers and pics of the what I am describing.
up date your os system, that will fix it, that is a notice that there is an update availbale
BBubbaGump has the right answer. You have upgrades for apps you've downloaded from app world. Mine is listing app world itself has another upgrade already! I hope this doesn't become tedious like windows!

The wierd icon is for updates when u upgrade all ya apps go into ya message box like the email Icons and they are in there u have to deleted from there.
