    i've used weathereye and weatherbug.

    i like weatherbug much better by far! Alerts, temp on homepage, radars and satellite. Here is the weatherbug direct download link:

    i know about weatherbug, but i've also heard that it gets the BB to freeze & slow down. is weather eye better?

    You mentioned free...well, I got one that's not free - but very good - it's a web site, that I subscribed to prior to having a BB - and found they had a mobile device oriented services as well - weathertap.com - best radar on the net - period.

    I've tried both, weather eye doesn't have my city(which isn't small) and weather bug does. So I use weatherbug now.

    For a simple, mobile-friendly web site, try weather underground.

    I can't post URLs yet, but if I could, it would be something like

    IMO they have the best animated radar images.
