for me personally, i do want something that is accurate and up-to-the-minute. why, you ask? simple: i live in arizona, where its about a million degrees farenheit year round, and we who live here like to sit around and complain about how hot it is all the time. i just want to be able to throw accurate complaints out there.
    LOL. fair enough

There is a new version that fixes whatever - apparently, the link/site was altered and the old version was broken.

None of the apps mentioned here seem to persist the data on the home screen. As soon as the app is closed, the next time its opened it has to be connected to download fresh data. On my old phone (not blackberry) I had a home screen that always displayed the last downloaded weather forecast, and it automatically tried to update it every 15 minutes. Any such app on the blackberry (I have a Bold)?

ryan, I use WeatherEye (find it in App World). It updates every 30 minutes and you don't have to be opened to refresh new data (as it's always connected).

    Give it a shot.

Check out the CB appstore and look up BerryWeather. It displays the temp and current conditions on the icon.

I can't decide between BeWeather and WeatherBug Elite. I don't mind paying for it, I just want to be able to just look at my phone/homescreen and see what the weather is.

Anyone using either of these? Could you tell me what you think of them?

    Here you go Niki:

    WeatherBug Direct For Blackberry

I use Weatherbug. Has it's own icon you move that has temperature and current conditions, and it's a free download with no associated monthly costs either. I had Weather Channel before, but I love having the temp/conditions on my homescreen. You can just click the icon to autolog to the site for a full forecast, too.

Hrm. Not sure as to why it wouldn't work on your 8330.

    Have you tried BeWeather?
