Sorry if this has been asked before, I searched but maybe not accurately.

Is there any way to delete and prevent those pesky apps that VZW pushes to the Storm, ie VZW Tones and the VZW sponsored Slacker. The apps do not show in the application list nor in Desktop Manager. I know i can hide these apps but that does not eliminate them.

    Thanks in advance

I know of no way. It doesnt push the whole app, just a link to where it can be downloaded so they arent taking up too much space. I know it is still annoying all the same.

Yeah, there's nothing you can do except hide them, but as Thanontos said, they are only links so not taking up space. I just created a "trash" folder that I throw all that stuff in, plus Facebook and all that garbage too.

All u need to do is delete the service books pertaining tp them, however on a reboot they reappear once the device registers with the network. So your other option is to hide them and be done with it.

It's been suggested u can block via: options > advanced options > browser push > uncheck allow WAP push applications. Idk if it works.

The Song ID is great, being able to whip out your phone anywhere and have it not only tell you the song thats playing but shoot you an email with the artist and title so you can look it up later when your back at the computer is great. As for the rest... yeah I just hide the pushed download links and move on with my life.
