I want to buy Vlingo. I know I would really like this app for its highly acclaimed ability to accurately dictate emails & text.

Before I download it, please tell me its impact, if any, on battery life. I assume it is always running, in the background. I'm leary of apps that do that because battery life is very important to me. I don't want any additional apps that will reduce my battery life significantly.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe Vlingo run's in background, I've never checked it, but I do have it on one of my BB's with no noticeable battery drain.

Well, it does run in the background; however, it's not active in the background. So it really has no impact on battery life that I've noticed.

I also have vlingo and I have never had a problem with my battery draining
