Hey,
So check this out. I just got a notification that I had an upgrade available in App World. So i went in and it said it was for Viigo. I downloaded it, installed it and rebooted. When I launched it, I got this message.
Build 3.1.497 on a Storm 2 - 5.0.0.320
downloading now... exciting... regrettably, I use Viigo more than any app on my BB, even though it's bloated and slow, and doesn't work properly half the time.
Yeah, the only difference I noticed was the increased customization of the number of articles you can have. Before, it was 250, 500, 1000, now it goes by increments of 50 or something. I think they have improved the HTML formatting so that images fit better and don't force the text down vertically which was one of my pet peeves.
But links still open in Native browser, where I would like them to open in BOLT most of the time.
It also took 10 minutes to install, which is ridiculous.
I only had viigo for a few days when I got notified there was the upgrade - downloaded it and got the message mentioned above here.
I just ignored it 'cos it still let me in anyway,- today there was an anouncement in viigo news that it shouldn't have been saying that, and the're working to get rid or it. ( was only relevent while still in development-pre launch)
Do any of you who use Viigo with OS 5.0 have the problem with scrolling down and not being able to view the whole article. I have a tour 9630, and I have OS 5.0, I did the beta .230 and then hybrid 7.12, and with both I am unable to scroll down and full an article, I would like to know if there is a working version for OS 5.0, and are you using Viigo News, or just Viigo?
Lately I haven't had those problem. The newer builds are developed with 5.0 in mind.
I just checked Viigo on AppWorld and they're back to 486, and 489 is the newest build on their website.
Were there any problems with this build? I wanted to get it, just exchanged my bold2 today. Too bad. I'll go with 489 for now. Yes its bloated, but I love this application for the versatile media and news.
