Hi all. I am new to the site and the world of BBerry...I upgraded to OS 5.0 and everyone seems to have gotten the Verizon Wireless app...except me...I have scoured and even tried to download it from the phone...any thoughts? ANY help would be appreciated...

it took about 24 hours before it got pushed to my phone
I actually find it kind of useless so I didn't download the app

What do you mean pushed to your phone? Sorry for the ignorance...

meaning that verizon sends the app to your phone ["pushed" content is anything that regularly gets sent, or "pushed" to your phone, like your email, texts, etc.]

I believe most if not all of us get the app icon once we reboot our phone [i.e. do a battery pull] -- then you still have to download the application; I chose not to

I actually did all of that...oh well...I guess my phone doesnt like it, so maybe I should stay away from the app!

Try doing a battery pull, it showed up on mine after a pull, anyway.

It showed up on mine today after I did a battery pull to get my email links working again. Its aeight...lol

Don't worry, Vzw will push it to your phone. Anything on your phone that has that red checkmark on it will be on your phone no matter what. Just try and get rid of it. It's kinda like herpes, it just keeps coming back.

I didn't get mine until after I did this:

Options>advanced options>host routing table>bb key> register now.

I had done several battery pulls and the app wasn't showing up as it did on my girl's phone next to me. After that it showed up instantly.
