USAA just released their BlackBerry app, but somehow it's only for older models??? I have a feeling it will work with the 9700.

    Can someone with the following:

    BlackBerry Bold (9000)
    BlackBerry Curve (8300, 8310, 8320, 8330, 8350, 8520)
    BlackBerry 8800 Series (8800, 8820, 8830)

... go to mobile.usaa.com on their device and reply with the direct link to download the files. I want to try installing on the 9700.

    Thanks

Nevermind, I found it on another forum.

P.S. While it runs on the 9700, it looks like it was designed for lower resolution screens and doesn't "look" totally right -- functionality still works though.

There is supposed to be a new BlackBerry app that gives you access to ATM machines, ability to file claims, and record accident information. I have not been able to get this new app to work on my 9700. The ability to deposit checks from the BB is due later this year.

From what I've seen, it is just a base browser for the mobile site. Nothing near as good as the iphone app. Makes my 9700 seems like a POS. Not up to USAA's standards.

Been using the older app on my Curve and now the newer one on my 9700. works fine for me. The web site has indicated that the deposit at home function will come later this year.

I downloaded the app a couple of months ago. I have used the iPhone app and like pretty much every iPhone app, its better than the blackberry one. This one is a disappointment, slow, not smooth transitions, limited functionality and a confusing UI. No deposit at home. I am really waiting for that feature. I borrow my friends iPhones all the time for that. Its impressive and I'm waiting for that on my bb. USAA is a great bank but they need that app to be better.

I can't find the app for my Bold (9700), I enter the website given on their website, and all I get is a mobile version of the USAA website, not link for the app. Then I entered the other web address (listed in an earlier post) and I get the message "the requested URL was not found on this server".

    Any thoughts or solutions?

So has there been any update on the USAA app for blackberry? The link available on the USAA website is just a mobile web site. I switched back to Blackberry from the iphone4 and I'm starting to fell it was a mistake. Any help would be appreciated.

One app doesn't make it a mistake. The USAA BlackBerry app has always sucked. They've recently updated the mobile page, and it is excellent now. The app worked on my 9700 a year ago, so you should be fine. I'll give it a go to see if it's any better now than it used to be.
