Just downloaded the latest os for my Bold and everything works fine and very fast on downloads etc but I have an odd fault in that when I open my home page and scroll about it with the cursor it is also followed by a text box with a cream background colour with the text inside "from layout engine" and wherever I scroll the cursor this box follows but when I open an item the box disappears and the cursor is back to normal, the fault is only on the home page

Not a real problem but I would like to get rid of it thanks

Try doing a battery pull. I have QuickPull, so i don't have to really take the battery out of the phone. I'm running OS 5.0.0.509 on my BB 9000 with absolutely no problems.

Thanks for reply have already tried the battery pull but still the same and now my battery is draining too fast only lasts half a day with light use, on my old 4.6 os it lasted all day with very heavy use, so I have switched off wifi and lowered the backlight setting to 60 so see if it improves things but would prefer my old settings so might have to switch back to my earlier os

Since when is that no help? I would:change the gen settings in the browser colom?mode makes the popup larger/ after zooming out they are less irritating/ You'd better change letter(caracters) sizes too// this is the optionsmenu in the opened browser! in a smallsized font (that fontsize. #/a tip for most browser manage/control issues try playing and test how many words fit from the left to right
-side or use the (example)sentence in screen/keyboard-options alway restart(e.g.red phone/end)before fontswitches (and most settings from pc to tv as well)

One more thing! Dump that 509 I am at 607 take the OS from this

Thanks for your reply,tried what you suggested but still the same so uninstalled OS 509 and re-installed 509 and to date it seems a lot better in regards battery life but still got the cursor problem which I can live with

The 607 OS that you mentioned in your reply if I downloaded to my Bold what improvements would I expect over the OS 509

Just one question as to why you cant download apps to the media card instead of internal memory and I think I know the answer that but I had to ask it
