like the title says, I connected to my desktop software last night to do some updates since I hadn't done it in a few months and I noticed it was taking an unusually long time. after everything was done I notice all of my apps that I paid for are gone. especially the expensive BB weather!!

please help. what can I do to recover? do I need to call my carrier?

You should have them in app world to redownload with activation codes in App world or mobihand if that's where you got them.

Or at the very least emails from mobihand(if that's where you got them) with the activation codes.

If using app world, login and go to "My World", it will ask for you to login, then go to deleted apps. All the apps you bought from app world will be there.

crap............App World isn't even there anymore. *sigh* *goes to download it too* thanks for your help. I'll let you know if that fixes it

Here's a question regarding this: using the desktop manager, can you back-up all your apps when you do a system update, or will you have to download everything again regardless?

You can backup your apps, but you still need to reregister them regardless of how you backed them up.
