I used BB Swiss Army Knive to wipe the device clean, then installed the leaked 5.0. Did a restore using Mac desktop mgr and my info came over but not my apps. This includes downloads through App World and Crackberry app store AND MORE IMPORTANTLY the apps preloaded on the phone. Password keeper is a big one for me and it is missing along with docs to go, and others in the apps folder. Any ideas on how to get these back?

Did you use this method before wiping the device http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/upda...updated-53201/? If not I'm afraid you'll have to re-download most of those apps.

Is there a way to get the preloaded apps back on the phone? Anyplace I can download them from?

i have the exact same problem and my DM didnt back up my docs to go, or brick breaker (i lost all of my apps btw, not just those 2) what do i do

obviously you didn't use "back up 3rd party apps" with BBSAK?

Connect your BB - open app loader - click next then when the OS shows up scroll down to teh bottom to see if any of your apps are there and are unchecked. If so check them and reinstall

ok same thing happened when i did the update thru dm. i lost all preloaded and 3rd party apps. everything. i even backed my phone up the day before and it wont restore the apps. this is how i partially fixed it-
1-plug ur tour into dm and downgrade to os 4.7
2- when thats done do the wireless OTA uprade by going though the options menu on ur tour

this will give you 5.0 with all the preloaded apps but you will lose all your 3rd party apps

regular backups don't back up your apps. If you didn't back them up manually, you're out of luck. You'll need to download and install each of them. Log in to AppWorld and it should reconcile the apps you've previously downloaded. I actually prefer having to reinstall apps one by one anyhow after a full wipe and OS load. Nice, clean install. I hate the bbsak apps backup. When you restore to the device that way, they show up in applications menu in options as the cod file names, and all of them.
