I have an 8130/4.5.0.89 from Alltel/VZW. Does any one know how to totally delete the icons that I don't use from the main screen?(I.e. Facebook). Tried to go through options>>advanced>>applications. It doesn't show up in the list.

If they aren't in the app list they are "pushed" to your phone by
your carrier. There is no way to permanently delete them.

Every time your service books are sent or you perform a reset
    they will come back.

Make a folder, stick them in there and then just hide the folder.

AG, i thought you could delete the service books for some pushed apps and they would be deleted from the phone, am i wrong about this?

for example, the yahoo messenger, google talk type apps that come on the phone (i guess depending on your carrier)

You can delete the service books, but every time your carrier updates something and pushes out services books again, they'll come back.

Or they will come back if you do a battery pull also. So just hide them.

Are these "pushed icons" taking up any memory? I have more than enough device memory, just wondering. Does anyone have a good link for some really cool apps and stuff?
