Attempting to setup Slacker and i get a pop up that says "slacker mobile has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy." I have no idea what this means. Do i need to disable my firewall for this program to work???? Thanks for any help

If you are on a bes and disabled the firewall, and surpised it let you. Watch to make sure if you are, as this might stop again as they will resend the policy. If it continues, you might even be called on the carpet for doing this. Again only if you are BES server. Companies get picky about this. They can set it up to enable the firewall and remove permissions for you to edit it.

Hope this is not the case, enjoy your Slacker

I haven't stumbled on a thread about firewall exemptions yet. Is there such a BB function? Not on BES.
    Thanks

You can look at firewall options from your device. options>Security options>Firewall.

Thanks, all I find is message exemptions.
Am I not digging deep enough? Or just disable it as suggested above. Any risk to that? Again thanks for your help!
