actually, I find it an excellent way to browse blogs/news/etc. as I have like 2 real life friends that use twitter.
I do follow a few of my fav. bands, cnet news, and tons of blogs. I was wondering what the big deal was too, but now that I have been using it a little more, I love it.
ubertwiter is the best twitter application i've ever used.
and bonus, it works without a data plan and only via wifi connection. just had to tweak the settings a little bit to make it work for me. there was absolutely no lag and tweets loaded very fast.
