This is amazing. I just got a Blackberry(Tour) with Verizon. I have so many Christenings coming up and thought I was going to have to miss NFL games. I will definitely sign up for this.
Be careful getting your hopes up watching sports/football this way.
The site has 1 feed for each network (well, no Fox yet). At least right now. If your team is not playing their game in the market the feed comes from (looks like CBS might be NY area???), then you will not see your team play. If that feed is from NY and your team is, say, a west coast team playing another west coast team at 1pm EST and the CBS feed is showing two east coast teams playing, you are OOL.
I actually sent feedback to Dan Gallic asking if they plan to have multiple feeds at some point or the ability to select which feed you want, or something to that effect.....
I tried it on my VZW 8330 and the media player opened up and said it was an incompatible format. Has anyone gotten this to work on an 8330?
I have same phone, same carrier, same error message. Im hoping it's just down right now. Would really love for this to work. GREAT IDEA. would def pay buck.
This service will be web based so that it will serve as many mobile devices as possible without the complexities of individual apps but we do expect to introduce an AJAX type video delivery method that will allow phone to mimic FLASH without using flash. The difference here would be the "J" in AJAX would stand for Java not Javascript.
This works on the Tour.
We plan to offer ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, FoxNews, CNBC and CNN
Currently we are planning to charge $1/month for low resolution channels.
Sounds great, will check back. Glad to have FoxNews.

Folks keep in mind this is alpha which means sometimes it will work and sometimes it won't. Alpha is an early stage of testing, BUT this is late in their alpha phase and it appears beta testing will begin shortly. I'm sure they will work closely with us to get this thing right. And the 1 dollar per month fee sounds reasonable. Perhaps we can even talk them in to contacting sitesupport(at)crackberry.com about a launch contest, and maybe some free subscriptions or whatever else they want to give away. (Probably they have already done that)
Vuivision now reads, "Congrats to CrackBerry.com! You crashed our servers. Please come back in 2 hours and try again. (And this time...not all at once!)"
