The cache feature here is key bc otherwise you are live streaming and in my case its constantly buffering and music never plays...it times out.

Was just curious about Pandora.....is that constant live streaming only?

The reason for cache is that slacker will actually download music onto your phone to allow you to play it directly from the media card, rather than having to wear your battery down and eat up your data plan by streaming the music over the internet.

Pandora doesn't have this feature.

I think slacker is the only music app that has the cache feature. Thats why I love it! Can still jam away if I lose connection on the train.
