I went to the link described on the downloads page (well after removing the superfluous www) and got the following error when I tried to download:

"this service is only available using the Blackberry internet browsing service.Please insure you are using the browser application called "internet browser" before trying to access the service."

My device lists "browser" or "blackberry browser", nothing says "internet browser". I am running 4.0.0.219 on a 7100, recently updated. What is wrong?

i have exactly the same problem as you. when i try to download the weather channel i receive an error message saying i have to use the internet browser!?

did you find a solution?

If you can get your local forcast on weather.com, it should work for this too.

Search by your city, such as i did for Austin, and this came up in the URL:

h t t p://www.weather.com/weather/local/USTX0057?from=search_city

You should be able to get your location code from that, mine is USTX0057

It must be set to "internet browser" for this to work. You say you don't have that option - then I would imagine you need the service books for it sent.

I had no joy with it after that, so I did a backup/Full reinstall with full erase option/restore with .64 OS version from my carrier (tmobile) and once I re-registered on the network and sync'd up with my BES, I was set again.

Make sure you go into options and set internet browser as your default and not the wap browser

I am using Accu Weather push service from BB and i have to say its pretty accurate....apart from because of the time i subscribed - i get it at stupid times....

That's why I stopped using it. It always pushed the weather out at 1am.

I use BBWeather as well. Really like it. Although I have Pocket Express PRo and love the weather feature on it. Also, PocketDay's weather feature is nice. Had to pay though

Ahhh yes but i have found out that if you subcribe at say 7am....you would then receive your updates 15 mins after that. So twice daily would be 7-15 am and 7-15pm....

Or there abouts.....

So i get mine around that time...although if i am rally desperate, i look out the window.
