I love in Canada and I'm travelling to the US soon but I'm not sure whether to get an AT&T sim and put it in my unlocked phone, just for texts and calls. Regardless, I'm looking to load it up with some travel apps for New York with point of interest, interest touristy information etc. Are there any apps you all would suggest would help getting around in New York? That is, without service. So it would have to be preloaded.
Alternatively, are there any cheap data options in the us, perhaps prepaid out there for data?
Bell and Rogers offer US/Canada data packages I believe. Not sure what provider you're on because it doesn't show on here, but according to the folks on Howard Forums, Bell and Rogers offer something like 500mb for 35$ a month. On Bell, this will replace your current data plan so you're only charged one fee for data.
Last time I checked, no US companies offer prepaid data.
