    Hi All,

I am running windows 7 with BBBSAK (Never used it before), and I tried to do an 3rd party application backup. It got 98% of the way, and then the app died, and didn't do anything else (for about 5-10 mins before I killed it).

    I have a few questions....

    1) Where do I get the official latest version of BBSAK
    2) Does it work with Win 7.0
    3) Is there a mac version somewhere ?!?!
    4) Has anyone else had the 98% issue?

    1) I'm pretty sure 1.7 is the latest version
    2) Yes, it works with Windows 7
    3) No idea
    4) No

Just uninstall and reinstall it and see if it works.

I'm running Win7(64 bit) and BBSAK 1.7 and it works fine. When you mean the program dies at 98%, do you mean the load bar at the bottom of the screen just quits? Look in the folder..... C:\>Program files(x86)>BBSAK and see it shows a file "backup". If you are running the 32bit version of 7, it will be in just Program files. If it does, open it and you will find all your apps that were backed up. When I was running BBSAK 1.5, the load bar always quit at 98% but it was still doing the backup.

It looks like it does the backup, but the program goes unresponsive where the only way you can get rid of it is to kill bbsak.

I want load a new OS, and I'm not sure I feel comfortable doing that if the tool of choice doesn't really seem to work 100%.

Here is an alternate method for backing up third-party apps:

    I have Bold 9000 - OS 610 - BBSAK v. 1.7
When backing up the 3rd Party apps, it the "bar" at the bottom of BBSAK stops at 97% - then the program freezes up - and I have to go in to Task Manager to stop the process. The apps are showing in the folder, but I just wonder if it is really saving the all of the apps. Not very reassuring - and doesn't make me feel confident that the other options on BBSAK work properly....So I'm glad I didn't pay for this program.

I now use the instructions at http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...cations-53201/ for my apps backup - and this works great!
