Torch/0S6 - Antiquated Apps

Does the Torch/OS6 (OS5) make certain popular programs obsolete? Especially with some of these applications costing money for the same or similar features?

CrunchSMS - Since OS5 they've changed the text outlet to match more modern phone texting structures.

FileScout - Although it gives you perhaps enhanced control, I believe since OS5 you've been able to have file browser in the OS.

QuickLaunch - the new OS6 and even OS5 basically had quicklaunch down, and OS6 has taken that to an all new level with favorites.

Are these programs obsolete or are they still worth getting? And what programs would you say aren't worth it now?

Speaking of File Scout, which I never had, and what it does, what ever happened to the Explore option on the BB key when you were in Media in OS 5.0? You used to be able to look at (most of) the folders and files on your BB.

QuickLaunch is worth the price - if it was $20.00, I would still get it!
