I just switched from a 9700 to 9780, and my third party-apps are not working. Ie, can't go into App World, Facebook won't sign in.
What can I do to fix it?

Resend your service books.
You'll need your carrier's OS6 service books for anything to work that requires data :)
My bbm and email works, however. Do I still need to resend my service books?

Facebook and AppWorld are core add-ons, along with BBM. If you've tried a battery pull already, you may want to try removing them and reinstalling.
If you're having problems with 3rd party apps from other developers, have you re-registered your new PIN and gotten new app codes?
Sending service books take 3 minutes, why question it. Do it!
Lol and grats on the 9780!

Hi, I was just wondering, are all 3rd party apps device and OS specific? e.g. if I switch to 9780 from 8900 would I be able to transfer any of my old app backups? I would unfortunately guess not, but wanted to see if anyone knew for sure.
Device specific, you'd need to put in a PIN change request with MobiHand and update AppWorld however it updates (I don't use crAppWorld).
I am assuming that your 9780 came pre loaded with OS 6 so if an app is not OS 6 compatible it will not run. Are most app OS 6 compatible yet?
Any app that has different OS versions on Mobihand will have a swap version icon appear after PIN change request is approved, and if the devs update after the swap it'll appear as well. Not sure how appworld handles it.
not true. many will work but not function right.
