I have a lot of down time at work sometimes and so I was wondering if there were any decent e-readers available for Blackberries. I have an 8530 with OS 5.

I know Barnes and Noble has an eReader app for BB. Their books are in a proprietary format but you can supposedly add free books from Google to your collection. It's said that Amazon is going to release a Kindle app for BB sometime soon.

mobipocket isn't bad. It's been my main stay reader.

I still miss some of the features from my old PalmOS readers though.

Kobo (Free eBooks for iPhone, Blackberry or Palm Pre - Kobo) is a brand that emerged out of Shortcovers. I think it partners with Borders in the US and Indigo in Canada and some of the deals aren't bad. The BB interface is a bit clunky but the nice thing is that they have apps for every possible phone OS so if you buy a book you can read it on pretty much anything with a screen.
