I have a suggestion for the issue of dropping the blocks accidentally. Could you make it accelerate down with a hit of the space bar or something? I would actually prefer to have horizontal control with the trackball, space to accelerate and perhaps SHFT to rotate, but that's just my $0.02.

    Great game, thanks for this!

Thanks for the awesome BB game, and thanks for the price! One more thing would make this game *perfect*... saving my highest score. I know you're probably working on that. Any ETA?

As for the fast drop issue, I am going to make it so that you have to do two downscrolls (no other directions inbetween them). I think that should stop a lot of the accidental drops. Scrolling up stops the fast drop, just fyi.

So, after reading all the issues that people have with the wrong screen size, would it be possible to get some sweet, sweet Tetris love for the 8220? I would love a game like this, but the screen issues seem a bit wonky.

What res is the 8220? Most of the screen issues have been resolved because I released a version for 320x240 and 480x360

    Hey, Papped

First of all... great job with this game! Its a perfect port and I can honestly say I would take this over BrickBreaker any day!

My only report is that I am either too dumb to figure out how to pause and resume, or that this is not a feature yet.

To give you an example of what I'm talking about... I'll sit down and play the game for a few minutes, then I'll press "back" or "end" because I have to run to do something, and when I come back to the game I'm at the menu screen and my only option is "Go" which starts a brand new game

So what about it? Is it a simple programming feat to make it pause and resume? What about a "New Game" option? Am I just a moron who is doing something wrong?

Thanks again for the best free app out there!

If you go to Menu > Pause, it should pause the game. This should work if you get a phone call, etc also.

But I think there is an issue where apps by default handle the "back" button as an app exit.

I can look into it for the next version.

    Block bank?

I will probably add a menu option to switch between button controls and trackball controls at some point.

    Priority right now is:
-Putting sound/music in a different thread.
-Line clear sound volume issue (think I fixed this)
    -App pausing on exit
-Accidental fastdrop (already fixed this issue)

Hmmm... Red button is calling pauseApp(), Back button is calling destroyApp()....

Most new versions of Tetris allow you to take your current block and put it in a hold so your next block can come out.

From that point on when you hit that button whatever block is in the bank gets swapped with the current falling piece and that's the new bank.
