So with T-mobilbe now charing for tethering, I think it's 14 a month? I've looked into the tether app which I think is ridiculously expensive for an app. Is it true that you will not be charged a tether fee? As in, I will only pay 29 onxe as opposed to 14 a month for however long I want to tether with t-mobile? Thanks!

The Tether app uses your data plan. If you use it excessively, you may incur excess data charges. Read the fine print of your plan carefully. Even "unlimited" data plans have some upper limit, typically 5GB / month. Otherwise, there is no charge to use Tether beyond the initial purchase price.
