Anybody kow why it takes so long to wipe a fully loaded 9650 of its apps??? When I do it using th PC, it wipes fairly quick, but when I do a wireless wipe using the options, it takes about 4 to 6 hours of hourglass rotation before u start to see a white screen with the wipe bar. Anyone know why this is? Its the same with 3 devices I've tried so its not a defect thing...

Wireless wipe? You mean from the device itself?

Right! When I check email and apps and leave media unchecked

I wiped the phone 12am last night, and just woke up at 6am to see the darn hour glass still there. About 15 later, the white screen came on and it completed it. Something seems wrong there... This doesn't seem normal

I just manually wiped a device last night, had about 20 apps installed, 2,000+ plus emails, etc on it and it took about 30-40 min to complete and reboot.

Also something to consider. The reason why it goes faster on the PC.

The PC uses it just like another drive installed. It does a low level wipe of the drive and you move on.

Processing power to wipe the device, etc goes through the PC.

On the hand held wipe, all the processing power goes through the phone.
