Apparently service books were sent out! I just download, installed, and successfully used AIM and Yahoo Messenger from mobile.blackberry.com on my Bold on AT&T. Give it a try to see if you have success as well, especially if you have a different device.

Saw AIM on the BB site this morning on my BOLD, downloaded it, and it works great! Never had an issue with YIM, even on my curve.

hey thats awesome! thanks soo much for that !

on a separate note, if i leave myself signed in, and close the app, will this drain my battery big time? or is it minimal in the grand scheme of things?

Any app you run in the background will play a part in battery drain. This one? Im not so sure.
