At this point, you're asking, why doesn't this guy just fork over the cash and get a data plan? I hear you. Here's why. I currently have all the email connectivity I want, and I don't need or even want it on my phone. Same for the web. All I care about is having my calendar and my contacts with me when I go somewhere. And for that I don't wish to pay T-Mobile $300/year.
I've tried Google Sync. I get a generic error, most likely because a) no data plan, b) doesn't work over WiFi, or c) requires Google Apps Premium, at $50/year/user.
For those of you who are still reading, here's what I'm considering. Sync Google Calendar with Outlook. Sync Outlook with BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Sync phone via USB. I don't like it. I'm not even sure it will work. I know you have a better way!
