Sorry, not sure if this belongs in this forum or somewhere else.
My Storm has surprised with a couple of apps lately. I notice they pop up after I encounter some sort of connectivity problem and do a battery pull. The first time I really didn't think anything of it as they were Verizon apps (VCast Song ID and VZW Tones).
But this morning, I noticed I was not receiving any emails and did a battery pull. When the Storm came back up, Slacker Radio was there.
Is my Storm possessed?
Not sure if it matters, I'm running .148 (a leaked version, not the offical realease).
Hi Kris, welcome to Crackberry. Please do not go hide under your rock. One of the rules of this forum is we each get to be the forum police. You can be one too, all you have to do is wake up on the wrong side of the bed and start to push our newer members around. I know that you would never do this but some of might. (Eh Drift?)
Now back on topic. It turns out verizon thinks they know what apps we want on our phones but being sheep we are not intelligent enough to get them ourselves. The icons they have pushed to your phone are not the apps but a short cut to down load the app. If you delete them they will return with the next battery pull.
What most of have been doing is making a folder for things we do not want. Mine is called "Stuff I do not want". I move the icon to there and forget about it.
Enjoy your phone and your time here at CB.
