Here is an email I received from TWN after asking them about an app for the Storm.

    Thank you for your email.

An application for Storm is in development and will be available soon.

    We appreciate your patience.

We hear the same response from every company, but we never see the app lol. This is like the 30th email I've seen like this.

I hope the release it though WeatherBug is okay but it's always good to have a variety.

TWN is far better for Canadians, as we dont get any of the weather alerts from Weatherbug, as that is only a US function.

The phone is only 3 months old. Gotta give these companies and developers some time to create the apps.

I am confused. I am using weatherbug on my Storm. Are you asking about the alerts only (for any weather app)?

Weather warnings etc, are only a US function. Can not use in Canada/not available in Canada.

Thanks for the heads up PP. Looking forward to this app. As you said, WeatherBug is nice but we don't get to use it to it's full ability.

That's not really true ... you do see the app fairly often (Google Maps, Poynt, Viigo, AP News, Weatherbug, iStockManager, etc etc etc). It's just sometimes their definition of "soon" varies

No update yet. I have gone to the jad site and tried to DL to see the version #, but all I am getting is a blank page. I hope this means they are updating their site.

Ive been running the weather network app for a while on my storm. Its definitely not optimized for the storm, but it works fine.

I wish weatherbug wasn't such a memory killer...I wouldn't mind trying something else out. What does it look like in compatability mode, Rosco?

it shows up how it would on the curve. It brings up the keyboard and doesnt rotate to landscape.

Here is the WeatherEye OTA link. I just checked it and they still have v1.0.22.4 which is the latest. I hope the new one comes out soon and has the same GUI and functions as the iPhone app.
