Haven't gotten notifications in sometime with the older app. Installed the new version last night and still no notifications. Any suggestions on what to do?

The process isn't hard. But yea, my friend and I updated to it last night and his tour gets notifcations. I haven't gotten notifications since the last one. At one point I did notifications but that's it, gone!

Try to delete the facebook app only and reloaded it. Go to options>general options>application. Highlight the app>press the left menu key> delete.

I have already done that. I had this problem with my 8900.I am now using an 8520, it still has the same problem.

I am now having this issue. I got notifications on 1.6, but now on 1.7 I do not. I am running a Storm .148. (I get the email on the phone, but it is not "pulled" into the FB app as a notification)

There has to be another fix. I would hope RIM would not release a program with such a flaw that requires you to wipe the phone.

Oh wait, they are the ones who released the Storm. I guess they might be this stupid.

Looks like this is not an isolated case. There are a lot of this problem floating now in the forum. I hope they fix this quick.

Are we talking about the facebook app? if so dont bother with it... its useless just use mobile FB on the browser

I have had no issues with 1.6. Then again. I couldn't even find 1.7 in the app world. Either way. My notifications are working just fine.

My girlfriend had this problem on her 8330 after installing a previous version of the Facebook app and she fixed it in the following way:

1) Go to Email settings and check if there is a verify link under the email address that you use for Facebook. If there is, click the link to verify the email address. If you don't see a verify link go to step 2.

2)Open the Facebook application and go to Options. Look for a Blackberry Message Application checkbox. Check this box if it is unchecked.

I wonder if this problem only affects people who install the app at a time when the email address that they use for Facebook needs to be verified? Maybe in that instance the Blackberry Message Application checkbox is unchecked when the new version is installed?
