I personally bought my Bold. It is not from a BES or anything.. for some reason some apps receives this message, "The application *** has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by our IT policy." I did just recently claim warranty and received a new phone. Could the previous owner of the phone be from a BES and therefore some restrictions is still on the phone? What is the easiest way to remove it.
I did find another forum about removing IT policy using JLcmder but I am trying to do as little work as possible..

Go to Options >Security Options >Firewall. Make sure the firewall is disabled...
