So you're saying you were using the Lite .81 version and got the update to .84?

Updated earlier tonight. I am not sure I can agree with faster speeds...will test out battery life tomorrow. Happy I can change twitter avatar now :)

Did you get a notification to update or just check for an update under the options menu? It still says no new updates for my lite version (.81)

As soon as I opened the app a message appeared asking me to update.

Nothing on boot, nothing on 'check for updates', nothing on socialscope.net/get

I just got my update this morning when I woke up, they need to work on trimming down the size of the download 1.3MB is pretty big.

Finally! The one thing I wanted desperately. Now if only they'd push me the update

I think the SS Foursquare Client now compares favorably to the official beta app directly from Foursquare.

I agree. Now I can use FourSquare without issues! I love SS updates :D

It keeps the same updated UI of 81. Besides the listed updates, there's nothing else.

Still on 44 as well. Looks like I'm 2 versions behind now. :(

Wow...this is a pathetic way to run a development life cycle...

Some testers still on .44, some of us were upgraded to .81, and now some others are on .84...???

This is just plain silly.

Maybe they give the latest updates to those who give the most feedback on issues? Who knows? Can't complain cuz there a lot of people who would love an invite.

ok, so me and a LOT of people are still on .44 .... and now a new update is out...

whats funny is that a friend of mine thats on .44, re registered yesterday, and got a new invitation code + download link for .81

it took him ALL DAY for the new SS app to go from please wait to accepting the code, but he is now on .81 (and .44 with his old user).

he RE registered seconds after or before me, and i was told to wait...
then i had my brothers, mother, father and girlfriend (and 1 of my other mails) register, and they all got the "wait" mail.

i use SS a lot, and sent feedback and sugestions...

my friend uses it as much as me, was 2 month "older" with SS, and NEVER sent feedback. (he re-registered with a new mail, so it doesnt matter tho)

What i dont get, is WHY they force people to downgrade if they manage to get the .81 (or whatever) version, without even using they download page... that makes their servers work more, doesnt it ?

they are on vacations, or dead, i dont know (well, no, this update proves me wrong), cause they don't twit, nor answer mails...

as i said, i got the .81 version, but was told to downgrade.

Just for the heck of it, i tried my old invitation code, or 123456, or similar "bogus code", and the app just sits there telling me "please wait", without sending or getting any data (no arrows on the signal metter).

My friend told me that, when he was trying to use his new code, he wrote a wrong one, since the correct one was making him wait forever, and the app told it that the code was wrong...

MAYBE their servers are melting because of the new update.. or because of people re registering all the time (maybe i should get a bot and mas register, since they accept the same mail over and over, and maybe one of my attempts will get me a new code...)

good thing we have ubertwitter, tweetgenius, and now seesmic, to play with :/
