Ive been wanting something like this too.
Say the name of the caller or read the number if not in the contacts.
Same goes for text messages. Tell me message from "Name"
Would you guys pay for something like this? I'm fairly certain it is possible in 5.0, but I would have to look into it further!
I would pay for it. This is the one thing I missed about my LG Voyager.
IT would annouce to me name of caller, or read out the phone number calling.
It also would tell me when I had a new SMS from whatever sender.
I'd for sure buy an app that does this, casue I like that better than the ringtones
Yeah I would buy that app too! Don't know why someone that wanted it wouldn't pay for it-- I understand it is free out of the box on some phones- but someone would have to create it for ours. Isn't that worth that person's time???
anyone come up with a different app that can do this besides drivesafe.ly?
That thing requires data connection which sucks if you dont have a good connection the reading is delayed. Sometimes I have readouts a few mins after messages come in to me and have already manually been checked
