So after purchasing SmartAlert from the AppStore, I have some finding that I thought I'd post. I already had BerryBuzz installed prior to SA installation. So after installing SmartAlert and setting up SMS alerts, Email and Missed call alerts, it (SmartAlert) informed me that in order to work properly I needed to download the Beta version of BerryBuzz. I did. Even after doing so and then the typical battery pull reboot, the app (SmartAlert) still has yet to function as advertised. I have tried every setting I know to try and get it to work, alternating between editing my regular profiles etc...all with no luck.

I have put in a support email to the developer with hopes of a return email and a fix. Just wanted to give my findings with the app so far.

BTW: I have 5 custom profiles and 2 custom exceptions. I have tried deleting them, turning them off etc. Nothing made any difference. So I went ahead and reinstalled my profiles from a backup I made until I hear from the developer.

I am using BerryBuzz, SmartAlerts and BerryPopups. It took me a while to get working but I figured it out.

Basically, I disabled all email settings in BerryBuzz (I have 10 email accounts), and pretty much the same with BerryPopups. Let SmartAlerts control everything. Yes, you need those other apps installed but let SmartAlerts trigger the others to do their thing.

So I received a response from the developer. Took them about a day or two to reply but here is their email:

    I would expect an e-mail from bellshare.com or bellshare.de.

    textguard.com seems like something else....

So in order to get messages to be tied to the correct ring do you need to put in the name of the person per your address book? Or just put in the actual email address/phone number? I have had the program for about 5 days now and have yet to get it to do anything....

Is there a tutorial anywhere on the best way to get smartalerts set up and running? I too have BerryBuzz/Pop Ups and Smart Alert running but haven't been able to get things set up.

I too would love to see some kind of tutorial on how to get BerryBuzz/BerryPopUp/SmartAlert to play nicely together? Does BellShare read this forum?

Found a way to make BerryBuzz work with SmartAlerts. Instead of adding names to SA from your contacts, add the number manually with a 1 and area code as well and it will work. It took me a while but mine is working fine now.
