Can anyone get Slingbox to work on the 9700? I am running 5.0.0.351, and it does not connect. Actually, it has never connected on the 5.0 OS. Thanks.

Just got a Slingbox Solo and this link worked great for my 9700. Search button paid off again, thanks!

err, what OS are all you using (besides .351)? i had this working fine with .196 on my at&t 9700 but my cbw 9700 has .400 on it...i installed the app but when i go to connect after the setup demo it crashes the app and reboots the phone.

I am also able to use it just fine with the 9700 on att. Only problem is the touch pad is so sensitive for changing channels. Not a great slingbox experience but it works so that is good.

I upgraded to 5.0.0.545 and now can't get the slingbox to work on my phone anymore. It recognizes my account, but when I try to connect it goes through all of the steps right up until 'optimizing' - and then nothing further happens. It just gets stuck on 'optimizing' - has anyone else experienced this? Thanks.

I am running .545 and I am not experiencing any issues with it.
The only issue I know of is when you switch to audio only mode you may have reinstall the app hence the reason I avoid it. Other than that it works perfect.

OK, I reinstalled the app and no longer have the 'optimizing' problem; however, I now only have audio - 'No Video Signal'. I've double and triple checked the wires on the slingbox and HD DVR. Anyone else having this issue?

Agreed. I had .545 and had no issues at all. Now running .566 and still problem free.

Same issue here on my Tour with OS 5.0.0.591. It plays for about 5 seconds then picture freezes...audio is fine. If I hit a button, the picture goes black, and audio is still good. I'm running the Sling app that is intended for the Bold. This app worked great before the upgrade to OS 5.

    Any help would be great

The "fix" that worked for me was to downgrade to the Sprint .484.

Where did you see a new version with 9700 support? I have checked the slingbox site and the slingcommunity forums and do not see any updates or new versions.

Edit: Do you mean version 1.0.0.13 available through mobile.slingmedia.com? I am currently running version 1.0.0.11 via link posted earlier in this thread.

It is version 1.0.0.13 and I downloaded this directly from the Sling website. The main page web page under blackberry does not show the 9700 listed but the purchse software section now lists 9700 as being supported. Check out the link... No issues downloadu=ing directly to my 9700 from their website and it works 100% perfect!

Site will not allow me to add a hyperlink cuz I am new so just insert the http and www before the string below to see the 9700 listed by sling as now being supported.

I downloaded the 1.0.0.13 version just now and it seems to play better on my Tour on OS 5. Perhaps since the resolution of the 9700 and the 9630 are so close, this might be a better version.

Here is the download link, if anyone wants to play with it:
