8830WE, computer is WinXP. Some time ago I installed Slacker to try it out. I chose to delete the app from the BB. Now, whenever I attach my BB to the computer via USB, Windows helpfully pops up a list of programs asking me if I want to do something with the new device. (Have to close it every time, even though DM is running.) Front and center is the choice, "Sync Slacker stations using the program provided on the device." (There are other choices as well, of course.) I cannot figure out where to delete this choice--Slacker is not installed on the computer, and I can't find it in file associations. Anyone have a hint for me? (feel free to flame me for my inbred stupidity, if you must)

delete slacker.synclauncher.exe from the media card. ;-)

Good suggestion, but not quite there. I deleted the file, and also found a Slacker folder, which I deleted in its entirety. No trace of Slacker on the media card now. Rebooted both the computer and the Blackberry, and when I connect the BB via USB, I still get the "sync with Slacker" message, only without the Slacker icon appearing. Still searching for answers.

Just delete the autorun.inf file in the root of the sdcard. It was created by Slacker.

Brilliant! That did the trick. Thanks for the advice.
