So I recently deleted slacker radio from my storm. I battery pulled and to my surprise I get a slacker radio icon on my home icons. The icon is a link to install it again. How do I get rid of this icon. I tried options, advanced options, applications and its not there. Any suggestions?

its being pushed to you by Verizon. The only way to get rid of the Icon is to hide it. Highlight the slacker Icon press the BB menu button select hide. You can try to delete it from your service books but it will probably come back again.

Grrr.. I did further research and yup found that out. I guess since I had it installed for I while I didn't notice it was pushed until I deleted. I prefer Pandora better...its got more artist of my preference

What are the differences you find between slacker and pandora? Currently I only have slacker...

Well they're basicaLly kinda the same. Pandora runs a lot cleaner and faster in my opinion. Very easy to use and doesn't slow your phone down. You get 6 skips an hour. A lot of people choose Slacker over Pandora mainly because you can cache stations. Meaning they'll save on your memory card and u can listen when u don't have coverage. Also Slacker let's u listen by genres versus Pandora where u have to either put in an artist name or song title.

In my honest opinion I prefer Pandora. I just love the interface and just overall performance. I'd give both a shot and see which one you prefer.

My experience was completely different. I found Slacker had far more artist options than Pandora.

I also don't recall Pandora having the option to create your own stations.....I could be wrong. I love making my own stations on Slacker.

I find the ability to cache stations a necessity, especially if you travel through areas with no coverage.

When I used slacker I searched for several artists and nothing came up for results. Where Pandora had them. The artist weren't mainstrean either.
